I’m from Alaska, born and raised in Anchorage. The question that always came up when I would meet people from out of state is., “Do you live in Igloos?” Lol! I can’t help but to laugh! But the simple answer is no we actually have houses all over Alaska.

Living here isn’t so bad, I suppose i’m just use to it. At one point when I was in my 20’s I moved to another state and lived there for 2 years woth some friends, the ride was fun, but the time had come when I was ready to go back home.
In all honesty, Alaska really is a beautiful place. The scenery, the mountains, nature, and the wildlife making themselves at home in your own backyard! (Especially moose!)
We may not have big amusement parks or the best shopping spots, but Alaska is like a big playground with tons to explore. I personally am not a huge outdoors type of person, but I do enjoy camping! Which there are so many places i have yet to explore!
Summer, spring and fall are the seasons for me, but Alaskan winters can be rough, but us Alaskans are tough, Atleast that’s what I hear! 🤔But i will take myself out that group because for me winters are rough, definitely not my favorite season! 😕
In the end Alaska will always be my home and no matter how much I may complain about the cold winter months, I have no plans to leave.
