The sister of Boston Celtics star Isaiah Thomas was killed Saturday morning in a one-car crash in Washington state, according to KIRO-TV.
Chyna J. Thomas, 22, died at the scene of the accident on the shoulder of I-5, according to the Washington State Patrol, which identified her. Family friends told KIRO-TV she is the sibling of the Celtics guard.
The wreck occurred around 5 a.m. on the southbound side of Interstate 5 in Federal Way. Witnesses reported the Toyota Camry was being driven normally before it suddenly drifted onto the shoulder where it hit a barrier, then slammed into a sign post.
The State Patrol told KIRO-TV that Chyna Thomas was not wearing her seat belt.
