Chris Rock announced his first stand-up tour in nearly a decade in a message posted to Facebook on Monday, and it proved way better than a traditional press release. The new tour, “Total Blackout,” will start in 2017 ― and yes, Rock knows it’s been a while.

“First time in nine years, OK?” he says in the video, recorded at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles. “Haven’t done it in a while. Been a little busy, you know, writing ‘Pootie Tang 3’ and everything. But hey, it’s time, I can’t wait to see you bitches!” he said.
According to TicketMaster, the American leg kicks off in Durham, North Carolina, on Feb. 14. Other stops include Denver, Minneapolis and New Orleans.
