Hip-hop artist Nelly was arrested on felony drug charges in Putnam County, Tennessee Saturday morning.
A Tennessee state trooper stopped a bus on I-40 and searched the vehicle when he smelled marijuana coming from the bus. The trooper says he found methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia inside the bus. They also found several handguns inside the vehicle.
Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Haynes, was inside the bus with five other people. He was charged with felony possession of drugs, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Another man on the bus, 44-year-old Brian Jones, was also charged with being a felon in possession of a handgun.
