In the UK internet firms will now be required to give intelligence agency  access to communication on demand in real time. There motive behind this intrusive act is to track crime and terrorist threats.  It would also enable intelligence officers to identify who an individual or group is in contact with, how often and for how long. They would also be able to see which websites someone had visited. In a statement a spokesman, for the Home Office said “It is vital that police and security services are able to obtain communications data in certain circumstances to investigate serious crime and terrorism and to protect the public.”  Do you believe the threat of terrorist and criminals is a justifiable reason for tracking everyone usage on the internet or is it a bit drastic?  Share your thoughts…
